The competitiveness of NAG members also depends on governments, governmental organisations and adjoining interest groups. This makes the role of the Dutch government plural: the government is a regulator (Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment), it supports international business and technological developments (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation) and the government also has a purchasing role (Ministry of Defence). The European trade organisation for the aerospace industry, ASD (Aerospace and Defense Industries of Europe), has a large influence on European policy with regard to the aerospace industry. Sister organisations abroad provide excellent access to clients and partners for our members and offer challenging ideas to optimize the services of the NAG. The Netherlands Aerospace Group has direct relations with these parties and is represented in many key positions.
