About Aircraft Maintenance & Training School
The Aircraft Maintenance & Training School (AM&TS) is a company which provides EASA approved Basic Training for young MBO Aviation Technology students of Markiezaat College, a part of the Regional Educational Centre (ROC) West-Brabant. The complete Part 147 basic training takes four years (cat B) and two and a half year (cat A). All kinds of subjects on Aviation Technology will pass by. We can also provide Part 66 module examines for those professionals who wants to clear limitations on their licenses.
EASA approval Part 66 & Part 147
The safety and security of European aviation are regulated by the European aviation regulations. These regulations are published, managed and supervised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which is part of the European Committee. The regulations are divided into several chapters, known as ‘parts'. The Dutch Transport and Communications Inspectorate,(IVW) supervises the European regulations in the Netherlands. Training aircraft maintenance engineers to Certifying Staff is part of these regulations. The requirements which an aircraft maintenance training institute must meet are described in Part 147; the contents of the training (end terms and skills) are described in Part 66.
Aircraft Maintenance & Training School is an EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organisation authorized to provide training and to conduct examinations at locations listed in the Terms of Approval and to issue related certificates of recognition, such as:
Basic TB1.1 – B1 Aero planes Turbine
TB2-B2 Avionics
TA.1 A Aero planes Turbine
The AM&TS is working hard to extend its EASA certification to other Dutch training institutes that provide aviation technology education, this in order to improve the quality of education in this field in the Netherlands.
As examination location they are already a part of the AM&TS approval:
- Leeuwenborgh Opleidingen, Maastricht
- ROC Tilburg
- MBO College Airport, Hoofddorp
- Deltion College, Zwolle
Type Training
The AM&TS is also working together with the World Class Aviation Academy, the provider of aircraft-specific Type Training for professionals working in the aviation industry. Both companies form the holding Aviation Training Group. With Basic and Type Training under one roof, the Aviation Training Group holding has a unique concept within the international aviation sector, not only because they offer both Basic and Type Training, but also because, together, they provide aviation-related training courses and collaborate with leading companies in the aviation sector.
