GTM is an Advanced Structures company, which is primarily in Research and Development. Main focus is the aerospace sector in which the group members have many years of experience. GTM is focussing on advanced structures in which the optimal combination of Fibre Metal Laminates, composites and metals is determined.
The research comprises material developments and characterization, design, stress analysis, production optimization and quality control. Product development up to prototyping is one of the main facusses of GTM.
The background of the engineers is research and developement of the Fibre Metal Laminate Glare. Especially, the support to the application of Glare in the fuselage and tail plane of the Airbus A380 has been a large part of their work. Using the knowledge of combining both metals and composites advanced structures will be developed, finding the optimal combination of both worlds.
