HKS Scrap Metals B.V. (HKS) is on the cutting edge of ferrous as well as non-ferrous scrap recycling. HKS is one of the largest scrap recyclers in the Netherlands and together with TSR market leader in Europe. We process together over 7 million tons of ferrous and 500 thousand tons of non-ferrous scrap. Internationally we have a prominent position. HKS is a daughter company of Corus and TSR. This gives us a worldwide network containing 95 facilities where we recycle ferrous and non-ferrous scrap.

HKS activities
The core business of HKS is the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap to create high grade raw materials for metal producers all over the world. Besides this HKS is an intermediary between suppliers and customers. With the 6 locations in the Netherlands and its 180 employees HKS processes over 1 million tons of ferrous and 100 thousand tons of non-ferrous scrap.
On purchase side HKS has contacts with a broad scale of suppliers such as industry, demolition companies, total waste care companies, traders, car disintegrators and regional governments.
For the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap our locations are facilitated with modern scrap demolishing, fragmentation, sorting and analysing equipment.
On sale side we have direct contacts with consumers such as steel producers, foundries and alloy producers all over the world.
Logistically HKS is well organised. The material can be transported in time to and from the locations by roads, rivers and over sea. If necessary the transport can be secured by custom protection.

Aerospace
HKS ‘s-Gravendeel is the headquarter of HKS Metals in the Netherlands. We have here a business unit who is specialised in the recycling of aircraft parts.This Business unit count’s 4 specialists in destroying aircraft parts for companies all over Europe. Our customers who are aerospace companies active in maintenance, manufacturing and end-of-life (recycling) companies. The aircraft parts that we handle are destroyed in a secure environment and following secure procedures. This everything following the procedures from the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Federation. We can close the circle from transport till destruction. We assure that all the aircraft parts that we recycle never come back in the market of used aircraft parts. At last we deliver the destroyed parts sorted at qualities to high quality foundry’s over the whole wide world.

We are ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, we are TÜV certified and we are a member of the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), the Metal Recycling Federation (MRF) and the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Federation (AFRA). We also have a recommendation from the Federal aviation administration (FAA).
